We Had A Quiet Day,

but in the late afternoon we were out,

walking up Thappraya Road towards the big television screen,

 and then into Thepprasit Road,

to take the baht bus to the weekend night market, I started at the beginning of the market, Diana stayed on the baht bus and went to Tesco Lotus,

as I walked into the market here was one of the mobile fruit sellers tricycles,

 and here he was,

I made my way to the center of the market, looking back towards Jomtien,

 cloudy skies,

 the same looking inland,

past the toy stall,

and the trainer stall, it appears that red is becoming the colour,

 opposite the bar this evening,

a stall selling T shirts and one selling shoes,

the escalator not yet working, it must only be a few weeks now before the car park is open I would have thought, but who knows?

I took a look inside the food section,

 roasted duck yummy!

we will be having one of these trays at least this evening,

as well as some crispy pork crackling,

but we will leave the snacks,

and the fish for another day,

new for this week, a seating area, where you can sit and cook your own food,

I could not get near the honey roast rib and chicken stall, but we will be having some this evening,

so many dishes to choose from,

 at the wicker basket stall,

 another colourful Japanese style dress,

I walked down to the pet section,

just a few customers at the far end,

and a sale about to be made,

 in the aquatic store,

 sunset over the market,

as I made my way back to the bar stall holders were putting up awnings, it looks like rain is on the way,

the new money exchange open for business,

time to relax with a beer,

it got dark very quickly, as storm clouds raced in from the sea,

we caught the baht bus back to the end of Thepprasit Road, and passed this cake shop,

and very nice they looked too,

 almost,

 to good to eat,

 we arrived back home,

where two things happened, firstly we had a delicious meal of roasted duck and pork,

secondly the heavens open up, it just poured down, not a storm as such, just non-stop heavy rain, so much so in fact it filled the swimming pool to almost overflowing, the concrete inner edge and pebbles totally under water,

this is what it normally looks like, the pebbles and inner edge out of the water, but good for us as we had just walked indoors before the rains started, and was for us time to put our feet up and listen to music, I put the selection on random so we never knew what was coming next as opposed to listening to a LP as they were called of one group, so we had a few favorites that we had not listened to in a long time,

like Thelonious Sphere Monk, performing Round Midnight, I never understood why he never got a number one hit with this one, but there it is,

and another rave from the grave, The Vintage Syncopators, with their rendition of My Blue Heaven, we listened to many more and as the midnight hour approached and the rain was still chucking it down, we were off to bed.
