I have a read with a sherry,
and over the past few weeks I have been reading the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, it is the autobiographical account of the experiences of British Army Colonel T. E. Lawrence, whilst serving as a military advisor to Bedouin forces during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire of 1916 to 1918, and by sheer happenstance I noticed this for sale,
a first edition of this biography of T. E. Lawrence and the inspiration for the classic film, 'Lawrence of Arabia',
the work was first printed privately in 1926, before being released commercially,
this first edition includes folding maps, Illustrated, and is in the publishers' original binding,
from the advertisement:
'the book is in the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart, with just some slight minor wear, including fading of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are uncut, and bright and clean', yours for £220.00 from Rooke Books,
I should say it is a compelling read and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
