to this,
all
image credits Bugatti, you are sitting in one of these,
the newly announced Bugatti Tourbillon,
Mate Rimac declared on the hypercar’s world premiere at its elegant Molsheim, France HQ in late June 2024: ‘The obvious thing would have been to re-skin a Rimac Nevera, but Bugatti doesn’t do obvious.’
so a Cosworth-developed 1000hp 8.3-litre V16 petrol engine
it was then, but that left the car a tad light in the horse power department,
so add to that three electric motors for company, two at the front and one at the rear, adding another 800hp to collectively contribute to a 1800hp total, now that’s more like it! Bugatti reckons this will give the car an acceleration figure of from 0-62mph
in 2.0 seconds, the Tourbillon also has a 25kWh battery which, if desired,
allows the car to cruise emission-free under electric-only power for 37 miles,
so how much is this 277mph super-powered road rocket? Well if
you are quick it can be yours for £3.2m
but you had better be almost as quick as the car, there will be a limited
250-unit production run, first deliveries are due in 2026, I wonder if they do
a right-hand drive model?
