After Diana Had Left For Work,

I decided on a day playing with some of my photographs,

firstly this one of the gold tree beside the Sanctuary of Truth in Thailand,

in straightening the building that looked like it was leaning towards the center of the photograph I lost a tad of the gold tree, I also increased some of the detail in the shadows under the eaves,

next a thistle, just a slight move to make it more upright and central,

 and a tad more structure,

next a move to Vietnam when we visited the Cao Dai temple, out of interest the temple is about 3 hours from Ho Chi Minh City, the religion called Caodaism, and has it is estimated 4 million followers, swelling to over 6 million if other branches are added, it takes a number of tenants from other religions and includes in its list of saints figures such as the Buddha, Confucius, Jesus Christ, Muhammad, Pericles, Julius Caesar, Joan of Arc, Victor Hugo, and the Chinese revolutionary leader Sun Yat-sen, these are honored at Cao Dai temples, along with ancestors, and amongst its hierarchy it has a Pope as well as Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, and further ranks, the church also uses many symbols, I guess most of us have heard of yin and yang, the two forces that balance the universe, this religion is where the symbols come from,

back to the photograph a tad more color,

next a rainy day in Venice, we were there when we took this shot in March 2018

I made it a bit more vibrant, it was such a grey day when we were there,

as this photograph won me the Caithness Bowl at the end of the photographic society year I thought I would enlarge it and put it on the wall, the trouble was that when I printed it on the new printer, it appeared a bit 'off color'

so a slight tweak and all was well, all of these will be on our wall next week when we pick up another 6 picture frames, it was now time for my evening meal after which the usual, a Outback Opal Hunters followed by a Deadliest Catch, followed by,

romp into fantasy land with The Sorcerer's Apprentice, great fun for all, for myself thoroughly enjoyable, Diana then arrived home so a chat and a coffee before we were off to bed.
