were still in Kings Lynn,
so for myself more playing with photographs,
one thing I had decided was that many of the photographs looked better when in a black mount rather than white/cream, also I have found out that judges prefer matte rather than a gloss image, the mounts by the way are from Cotswold Mounts, a great company to deal with, they have a huge range of precut boards and will make 'one offs' like the ones above but there is a minimum number you must order, so a email for your requests will produce a speedy response for a price and number of boards to be ordered,
and finally some of my prints were a tad too color saturated, so I went from the image on the left to the one on the right, the reason I am happy to do this is the the new printer uses ink of course, but it is so much more reasonable in the cost of it, being that it had ink tanks and not cartridges as before on our old printer, below are the images I was playing with today,
and here they are in their new black mounts,
to give an idea of scale each photograph is 6 inches square,
and the board with them in is 40cm X 50cm
sorry about the mix of imperial and metric measurements, I still have not sorted them out yet, the reason I am doing all of this is that when the photographic club starts again in October I will have many of my photographs ready to go, just pick the subject and bring them along, in the afternoon Diana came home so a coffee and a chat it was before our evening meal,
first a read and a sherry,
for our starter a crayfish tail salad,
with a drizzle of lemon,
followed by saveloys and chips,
'Cheers!', then feet up for a Giant Lobster Hunters, after which a film,
Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles was next, a vampire named Lestat takes a liking to Louis who has just lost his wife and child and offers him the chance to become a creature of the night: a vampire, who then joins the vampire underworld, remarkably well filmed with sets and costumes just right, after that, the film was 2 hours long, we were off to bed.
