so glad rags on,
Diana looking as beautiful as ever,
whilst I made up the comedy part of the duo!
a rest as we waited for the taxi,
and yes as you can see in the video, the jumper really did light up,
and here we are at Miller & Carter in Pickhurst Lane,
a nicely stocked selection of wines,
here she is,
and here we are,
we settled down at our table, Debbie, Bob, Steve, Diana and Myself,
Christmas menus as well as the normal all year round one,
for drinks Diana went with a Baileys Salted Caramel Martini, which is a luxurious blend
of rich salted caramel paired with creamy Baileys and Kahlúa for a subtle
coffee kick, finished with a chocolate brownie bite, for a Bob Cuban Mai Tai, a fruity exotic blend of lime and Orgeat
twisted with Havana Club Cuban spiced rum, for Debbie, Steve and myself a sherry,
Bob opened the bubbly,
as we tucked into our starters, I am not sure what this one was, but Diana choose it,
Debbie went with sweet & smoky King prawns, chargrilled harissa &
garlic prawns,
for Steve, Bob and myself pan-seared scallops and pork belly, which was scallops, soy
& mirin pork belly, miso dressing,
bubbly nearly finished, time for a couple of bottles of red,
'Cheers!', all round, for our main courses we went with a selection of Surf & Turf a Masters of Steak accredited fillet 8oz
expertly topped with a grilled lobster tail, or other steaks, all of which were just so nice,
on to desserts which included double Belgian chocolate brownie, served warm with chocolate
sauce and honeycomb ice cream,
as well as the ever popular white chocolate crème brûlée, white chocolate and Madagascan
vanilla-glazed brûlée, served with fresh berries,
we rounded off the meal with coffees and a few more drinks, in my case a couple of large spiced rums, we said our farewells as we all made a move for our homes, then Diana was out again, the company evening party,
at a bowling alley,
unfortunately Diana does not seem to be doing so well,
better luck with the Pacman Slides, arriving home I had already gone to bed, a couple of days ago I must have trapped a nerve or something when emptying the shop, it was a task, we filled three 10 yard skips the biggest there is for normal use plus one slightly smaller one, ow, my back! hopefully a few days/nights rest and all will be well.
