It Started Out A Nice Day For The Fox,

curled upon our sunbed,

I think with all of the wind and rain we have had recently, he is using it more than we are!

the day started out nice as well with a rainbow, Diana started work at 10.00, I had the day to myself, so a water change for the aquarium, and a glass clean for it, I watered the orchids and watched some television,

in the evening I was out to meet Steve at the club,

no cricket tonight,

so no bar-b-q, which was a shame, as on Wednesday I called in to make sure that there would be a match and barby and was told there was, also the kitchen would be open, as it happened there was no match and no barby, also the only thing on the menu was sausage or burger with chips, and yes you guessed it, they had sold out, so much for my evening meal! anyway we chatted the evening away and said out farewells,

just before 1.00 AM Diana called so I was off to the bus stop, to walk her home through the park, arriving home a coffee a chat and we were off to bed.

After Posting The Blog,

and doing my morning exercises,

I was through the park and off to the bus stop,

today the 227 stop opposite the church,

and these rather cute cottages,

and this was where I was going, the dentist, bad news about my snapped front tooth, to replace the crown might not be possible, and if that is the case it is either a plate or a implant, both eye wateringly-expensive, back in 2 weeks time for a decision,

227 back to the church,

and time for shopping, thankfully no queues today,

I decided to take a walk to the mansion, well the garden behind it,

a new sign post,

but I knew where I was going,

past the mansion looking back to it,

and here is my destination, the Homestead cafe,

I decided to go in via the garden entrance, it looks closed, but it is open,

where the fish pond used to be,

and the view looking across what was once the most profitable public golf course in the UK,

a part of the garden,

I had a seat and a beer in the courtyard,

next stop I walked to the club,

no cricket or barby tonight,

arriving home a pre-meal sherry,

and a glass of wine whilst I read,

for tonight a prawn cocktail,
I wandered into the kitchen, and noticed the fox having 40,

next a egg and cress sandwich, I listened to music for most of the evening, Diana was working late tonight,

so I watched Equilibrium, fast and action packed, the fight scenes beyond belief, naturally, just after midnight Diana called, so off to the bus stop, arriving home feet up for a coffee, a chat and we were off to bed.

The Fox Had An Early Start,

and after breakfast curled up in the sun,

but not for long as it started to slightly drizzle, in the afternoon Steve called round for a coffee and a chat, whilst we were chatting the afternoon away, the skies opened up, which was great for Steve as it saves him watering the garden, we said our farewells as it was still drizzling with rain, for myself it was feet up to watch a program which I really enjoyed,

Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, comedians and lifelong friends Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse share their personal and hilarious life experiences while travelling around the UK fishing for elusive species, I should say both have health problems, heart, balance, bad shoulders and/or backs,

and only one of them knows how to fish, but great fun as they reminisce about their youth, a time that I identify with when things were so uncomplicated, I watched all of the first series over the afternoon and early evening, and am so looking forward to the next series,

in the evening one from A Touch Of Frost, at the end of which Diana arrived home, so one from New Tricks and we were off to bed.

Before I Had Even Started The Blog,

the fox was waiting,

only the male had been calling round for the past week or so,

no sign of the female and the cubs,

peanuts finished, 'can I have some more?'

so I threw a few more out, after eating those and a scratch he was off,

I watched television during the day, I was tempted to go to the bar in the park, but did not for two reasons, firstly every time I looked out of the window although it was bright, it stared to rain, secondly I did not have a credit/debit card, mine still had not arrived and Diana had taken hers with her to work, the bar is card only, so a pre-meal sherry it was then,

a glass of red next as I listened to music and read,

for my evening meal a turkey sandwich,

as I put the plate away, and had a refill, looking out of the kitchen window the fox was back, so it looks like a morning and evening feed for him! for my music in the evening I had bought a few more CDs and made a new playlist,

starting with Peter Schilling, Fehler Im System,

followed by David Bowie, Legacy, I followed with 2 from Tangerine Dream,

and Melrose,

I then decided on the fifth CD I had bought, Aida, orchestra and chorus of La Scala, Milan, which as it happens I am listening to now as I type this,

just after midnight Diana called, so I was off walking out of the park to the bus stop, arriving home a nightcap and we were off to bed.

Blogger Is Working Again!

so here are the few photographs I could not post the day before yesterday,

of our evening meal,

Diana had made a delicious lamb stew,

with some of the home grown leeks and carrots from Steve and Kai's garden, many thanks for them,

'Cheers!', in the evening we watched the usual New Tricks and Silent Witness before we were off to bed,

on to yesterday, Diana was at work, and I was out through the park,

and on my way,

to Beckenham Junction, any minuet now!

next a change of trains and I was Medway bound,

where Steve in his new car was waiting,

and we were off to the nursing home Duncan was in,

picking up Alan along the way, we chatted the afternoon away, Duncan was in high spirits as this was the first time since lock down started that he was allowed non-family visitors, Steve kindly dropped me off at the station,

arriving back in Beckenham I picked up my now altered jacket and was on my way home,

looking out of the kitchen window, directly below it the fox was curled up asleep, but as soon as I open the window,

he was bright eyed and bushy tailed, waiting for the peanuts, Diana arrived soon after me, so after our evening meal it was one from Poirot, followed by the usual New Tricks and Silent Witness, before we were off to bed.
