with the perfect bicycle,
well that is what a designer and a wood craftsman teamed up to create, a
company on a quest to design and build just that, the perfect bicycle, known as
the Arvak Bicycle, designer Paul Guerin and woods craftsman Till Breitfuss
teamed up to create Keim, and under that banner, they created the Arvak
Bicycle, Keim manufactures bicycles from ash wood, but why ash? because it is
hard, dense, very strong, elastic and resilient, the Arvak's frame is
lightweight, it is completely hollow, the ash is actually a composite of 24
layers of vacuum bonded white ash, it is laminated with a biological, epoxy
resin for added strength as well as weather resistance,
Keim will only manufacture 20 Arvak Bicycles, so you had
better be quick if you want to order one, you can visit the Arsenale site to
pre-order one, the site is in French, so a phrase book might be
handy, also on the companies web site there are,
motorbikes,
boats,
and aeroplanes, and no I am not on commission!
