It Is Official,

Yersinia pestis did it,


did what? I hear you ask, kill nearly a quarter of London's population, during the plague outbreak of 1665-1666, Crossrail is a 118-kilometre railway line under development in London and the home counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Essex and whilst building it a mass grave dated between 1650 and 1670 was uncovered, using DNA scientist have finally discovered which bacteria cause such widespread devastation, it was in fact Yersinia pestisas an aside whilst at school we were told that rats spread the fleas that infected humans it is now thought that it was in fact gerbils, and they look so cute!
