It Was Only A Matter Of Time,

before UK councils thought of this one, charge extra for taking waste away, I know I thought they already did charge, I should have said make an extra charge, in this case £65.00 a year for taking away garden waste, over the past year, councils across the country have started charging for the facility as they struggle to retain services in the face of cuts, the decision to introduce an annual charge has been met with protests by angry householders in Oxford, Nottinghamshire, Reading and parts of London,

but wait I have got that wrong, bosses at the Conservative-run Gloucester council authority said the profits will be put towards the overall savings target, and yesterday defended the pricing, councillor Steve Morgan said: 'we did our research, the fact that 14,800 people have signed up vindicates our decision to charge,' so it is not the fact that without signing the council would refuse to take their garden rubbish and charge them more to take it to the council tip?
