A Bit Of Excitement,

as a helicopter landed in the sports field,

behind our flat, how the rich and famous live, still if we have a big one on the lottery it could be you, or us!

we had a walk to the shops to buy a Saturday paper amongst other things,

we like looking at the holiday pages, so a slow walk back through the park, one thing I forgot to put in yesterdays post, as we were  going round the park feeding squirrels I could not get the Tom Lehrer song out of my head, of Tom it was said by The New York Times, “Mr. Lehrer’s muse is not fettered by such inhibiting factors as taste.” and here a few of his quips,

When I was in college, there were certain words you couldn't say in front of a girl. Now you can say them, but you can't say 'girl.

wish people who have trouble communicating would just shut up.

Life is like a piano. What you get out of it depends on how you play it.

If after hearing my songs just one human being is inspired to say something nasty to a friend or perhaps to strike a loved one it will all have been worth the while.

The Army has carried the American ... ideal to its logical conclusion. Not only do they prohibit discrimination on the grounds of race, creed and color, but also on ability.

I went from adolescence to senility, trying to bypass maturity.

Political satire became obsolete when Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

Apart from that Mrs Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?

below is the song I kept singing to myself as we gave the squirrels peanuts,

Tom was born on April 9th. 1928 and is still going strong, I should mention he is more famous for his song the Elements, which is below,

a tricky one to remember,

but it can be done,

in the evening we were eating in,

 avocado prawns for a starter,

 chicken for Diana,

 a steak for myself,

 'Cheers!',

 mince pie for dessert,

and we made a start on the Christmas chocolates,

 and nice they were too,

we listen to music until 8.00 when there was a program about Stonehenge on Channel 5 that we wanted to watch, and following that one about Sir Francis Drake, then back to music until the midnight hour, when we were then off to bed.
