Blog Posted,

and I was off to visit Duncan,

arriving at the nursing home where he stays it was a cold, grey day, looking at the tarmac puddles everywhere as it was raining, he was his usual self, Diana had bought some grapes for him which he always enjoys, we chatted away about Kai and Diana going to visit the tulip farm in Norfolk, and our stay at Ramsgate next month for a look at the Little Ships

as it happens we had visited them before at the Classic Boat Festival 2021, the post is here, above one of the many photographs I took of the event in London, according to this article, 'Of the 700-odd officially recorded 'Little Ships', over 100 never made it home and were part of the 220 vessels lost during the evacuation', but it must be remembered that a number of boat owners just joined in and were never officially counted, I am amazed that so many are still sea worthy today, when Duncan's lunch arrived I made a move for home,

it was still raining out side, back home a coffee and a snack before I was out again,

past the snail mail box in the park,

a quick look back at the wisteria growing over the gate house to the park, Foxgrove Lodge, on to a 227 bus and I arrived here,

at the dental surgery, I handed in my broken top plate with the two detached front teeth, I did look a sight, as Diana said when I gave her a toothless, spine tingling leer/smile, the image will stay with her forever, note to self, do not smile in photographs! £177.00 later and I was on my way home, appointment made to pick up my top plate next Tuesday,

entering the park, I could not help but notice it was a bumper years for the wisteria covering the gatehouse,

it just cascaded down the building, and the aroma was so nice as it filled the air,

I continued walking home,

and was soon having a read of the latest issue of Private Eye

for my meal tonight, toad in the hole, Diana was on a late shift today, so I will pick her up after tonight's visit to the club,

'Cheers!', with a glass of milk as I will be driving to the club,

and here I am, the prints entered by club members last week being judge and give a critic by the judge,

I entered two prints, this one did not do well,

but this one was placed third, I should say I am in the beginners class and not in what I term the serious class, still not too bad, but I must try harder! I picked up Diana after the meeting of the Beckenham Photographic Society, arriving home a coffee for Diana, a large spiced rum for myself as we watched a Life on Mars, rounding off our evening with the last episode of It Ain't Half Hot Mum as the lads leave Burma for Blighty, at the end of that we were off to bed.
