so I had some time time to play with a few photographs,
this was one from our visit to Edinburgh Castle, in 2018 with Steve and Kai, the above as it came out of the camera, but I wanted to loose the sky and have more space at the bottom of the photograph,
I ended up with this, but I was still not happy with the result, as Diana was nearly home I called it a day and will continue to play with the image tomorrow,
we had decided to have another look at the bluebells today,
we started our walk to Crab or Star Hill as it is called,
and noticed some bluebells in the grass verge,
on our side of the road,
Diana also noticed these, dandelions,
so she just had to have a blow,
and there were the seeds in flight,
one more,
again they are off,
a development in Westgate Road,
huge amounts of soil had been placed on the grass verges, someone will be busy in the week!
up the hill,
to the top where the benches are,
down the other side a tad,
and we are in,
to the part of the park where the bluebells are,
a much better showing than last week,
so many more out,
and the ones that were showing last week now opening up,
I do not remember seeing this tree before, with what appears to be three and maybe four trunks out of one rootstock,
we walked along a path we had not walked before,
Diana stopping,
to take some closeups,
considering it was a bank holiday and also there was a So Last Century fair going on at the mansion,
we could not believe we were the only people here,
but we were!
not another person in sight,
which was great for us,
Diana getting down low,
so I did as well,
we started walking towards the lake,
now closed to swimmers,
we made our way to the mansion,
lots of stalls today,
luckily the rain held off,
lots of 1950s furniture, that I remember in homes of friends and my family,
I had a look at the watches, but no Russian military watches to add to my collection,
Diana was tempted with the Bao Buns, but resisted,
lots of stalls, all of these,
in front of the mansion,
normally we see Citroen vans converted into vehicles to sell food and drink at these sort of events,
but for a change today a Volkswagen,
we started the walk back down the hill,
looking back at the wild life area that was planted a few years ago,
the snail mail box and we will soon be home, after a bite to eat it was our usual fair of Outback Opal Hunters and a Deadliest Catch followed by a Midsomer Murder, after which we were off to bed.
