I decided to play with a few photographs, but inexplicably both Photoshop and NIK had disappeared form my computer, I did a search in the search box for both, but not a trace of either of them, also worse was to come, when I put the disc in to download the programs I received the message, 'files corrupted', so that was that, my 2008 edition of photoshop was no more, as indeed was NIK.
If I want something I want to buy it, not in the case of Photoshop pay £22.00 per month forever, I just hate the thought of paying every month, I much rather pay what ever it is and that is it, if the program is upgraded then the option of paying extra for the upgrade, also Photoshop is so huge, I guess I barely use 3% of what it is capable of doing, so I spent the afternoon and early evening looking at Photoshop alternatives that will also run NIK the list came down to two, DxO or Affinity Photo 2, both are 1 off payments which I like, but whatever I decide on it will be back to basics, it took an age learning about the few things I wanted Photoshop to do, now it looks like I will have to start all over again, after a late evening meal it was straight on with a Midsomer Murder, just as it finished Diana called so out to pick her up, arriving home a Have I Got A Bit More News For You had just started, when Diana announced something I could not believe, she had contacted the television studio and in June has got us seats in the live audience! I could not believe it, so thoughtful of Diana to do that, and with that good news at the end of the program we were off to bed.
