photograph Anthony Yin/Unsplash, this is Bua Noi a gorilla, who was only one when she was put into the cage that would become her permanent home for more than three decades, the owners have no intention of returning her to a more suitable home and refused to relocate her to a different location, despite numerous requests from animal rights activists and even the countries Government. Even today, Bua Noi’s owners refuse to let her live out the rest of her days in a sanctuary, with other members of her species, if you want to visit the world's loneliest gorilla, pop over to Thailand and visit Bangkok’s oldest shopping mall, Pata Pinklao Department Store, Bua Noi is homed there in the family-owned Pata Zoo, such a shame that we treat animals in this way, but there it is, even the Thai government is powerless to intervene, for the full sad story have a look here.
