First Thing In The Morning Nick And Maureen,

along with Ta-Taa called in for a tea and a chat,
Nick wanted to use my computer for a couple of things,
meanwhile Maureen and myself had a chat, one of the things we talked about was bananas and strangely enough rhubarb, I loved it as a kid at school and knew a few things about it, but could not be 100% certain of some of the things about it, (so see the next post!),
just as they were leaving Owen who I have not seen for several months called in for a chat, we had lots to catch up on,
later in the afternoon we descended into that hell hole known as the underground motorcycle parking area under the Central Festival, we were going to watch a movie, but yet again it is madness down there, no where near enough space, and again burnt legs trying to move several motorbikes out of the way to get our one out,
I have often seen these 4D as they call them mini theaters offering a movie seat as you watch the 3D film, I have always dismissed them as being a bit, well corny, but we had some time to kill and the 200 baht a person price was 50 baht off as we had already bought our cinema tickets, well I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised, it was amazing! Diana was alternately shrieking and laughing, the effects of motion perfectly time into the visuals on the screen, (I think Diana preferred this to the picture we were going to watch), the upshot is that next time we go for burnt legs at the hell hole we will take in another 4D movie, the one we watched was the haunted mine, but on to the main event, Wolfman, great horror with lots of gore, like I mean really lots of gore thrown in, Diana is a bit squeamish, so more than a few times my arm was gripped like a vice, if you are into the horror type movies this is one for you,

we have been to more than a few movies, the air conditioning is so cold, so Diana brought along a shawl,

we then went for a walk to the sea front on the 5th floor, 10 baht to look at where we had just come from and where we were going to,

I thought we would give the outside lifts a miss today, although they were still working, it was one of those, 'just in case' moments,
the view looking towards Royal Cliff,
and down to the Brazilian restaurant,
whilst in the mall we saw this pet shop, although illegal in many countries over here lots of people put their miniature pet dogs in the shopping basket on the front of their motorbikes, well for the pet owner who thinks of their pet dogs what better fashion accessory than a crash helmet for the dog? all sizes and colours available!
then to Diana's favorite restaurant, McDonald's,
apart from the voucher that is missing what else is missing from all of these offers?
drinks, no coke or similar, why? I hear you ask, well there is a beer bar in McDonald's, so you buy your meal with out a coke and then by the beer, so the kids can have a soft drink whilst Mum and Dad can get tanked up for the journey home, the best news is next McDonald's is open 24 hours a day!
"Cheers!"
well Diana had to pose,
Diana taking a picture of us at arms length,
then it was feet up for We Dive At Dawn, another black and white from the early 40's, then a real Si-Fi classic, When Worlds Collide, again I remembered it as a kid so I bought it in the UK, once again many thanks Steve and Kai for bringing it over, dated of course it was made in 1951, but still the pick of the crop at the time, then another episode of A Year In The Life Of Kew, one more Midsomer Murder and off to bed.
