For Any One That Collects Banknotes, Paper Money Or Plastic Notes,

numismatists as they are known,

now if you are in Europe is the time to start looking to add to your collection, in addition to bringing in three new members in four years (Slovakia, Estonia and Latvia), the Eurozone is changing its two smallest banknotes, the five-euro note was the first to change, starting in May, to fight counterfeiters, the "Europe" series will also be adopted for 10-euro bills starting in September 2014, so this is a key moment for the euro, also it is the perfect time to discover notaphily (a branch of numismatics specialising in banknotes), the serial numbers of modern banknotes is where the real value is found, series starting with several "0's" should be kept (start of series),

do not feel left out if you are in America, or any other country for that matter there are still notes that you should look out for if you receive uncirculated notes, like this $100 bill above, at first glance it does not appear any thing different, but look at the number, it is a 'radar' (which contains a palindrome, the same when read in either direction, e.g. 123454321), and notes that have a series of numbers in straight order (123456789), the collection value of these notes is often much higher than their face value, this actual uncirculated note is for sale on Delcampe, priced at $200 so the lucky owner has doubled his or her money, not bad for just looking at new notes!
