We Were Up Early As we Were Going Fishing,

but then we had a call from Arry,

to ask if he could start work on the drain covers and a few other things,

so around he came with number one son,

these were the drain covers that needed replacing,

they are just meant to keep plastic bags and other wind borne rubbish from blocking the drains,

all of the equipment needed brought in,

then work commenced as we left,

we picked up Nick and Maureen and made our way to the Mamak fishing park,

where I soon caught the first fish of the day,

it was so hot drinks all round,

 second fish for me,

landed with help from one of the parks workers,

 another keeper,

 then it was Nicks turn,

 a helping hand,

and it was in the bag,

 one more for me,

 making it 3-1,

 next thing,

Nick made it 3-2 catching up 1,

 the first fish arrived,

 in garlic as usual,

slight clouds, but it was hot with a nice breeze,

the other side of the lake had been cleaned up,

I then noticed these storks, about 8 of them flying in a almost figure of 8 pattern,

they were moving across the end of the lake looking I guess for food,

back to the fishing, Nick was on form, he slowly stater to catch more than me until at the end of play we ended up at 10-6 to Nick, he was really on form today, note to self, next time must try harder!

we arrived back at Nick and Maureen's,

where Diana cooled off by the pool, we sat outside for some spring roll starters,

before moving inside for one of Nick's delicious curry's, we followed with cheese and biscuits and ice cream,

then to the serious part of the evening Monopoly, eventually after a very long game Maureen was victorious, I was first out, it was just not my day,

we all had a great day out, if you want to spend a day at the lake,

here is the map, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see the road the fishing park is on the right hand side, follow that for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer!, after saying our goodbyes and thanking Nick and Maureen for looking after us so well we made a move for home, a couple of Midsomer Murders then for us off to bed.
