We Had A Quiet Day,

but in the evening we were out,

to the weekend night market in Thepprasit Road, clear skies looking towards Jomtien,

the tower in the far distance,

 blue skies looking inland,

I started my usual walk having a look to see if anything is new, but this is one stall you do not have to see, as you approach it there is a fragrance in the air, the stall sells aromatic candles amongst other things, so nice to be near,

what shall I be today? Superman, Batman or Spiderman? oh, the agony of choice!

one of the mobile fruit sellers doing the rounds,

opposite the bar this evening a stall selling health care products,

and beside it a housing development show,

one of the many group tours,

these are the first of the season, one of my favourites, Marina plums, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, it does unfortunately have a large seed, but the flesh is just so delicious, I was so excited when I saw them I forgot to focus, sorry about the terrible picture,

unloading still going on in the food aisles, by car,

 and on foot,

the pet aisle, not many customers today,

the first of the pet 'boutique' shops now open,

one of the many mobile sellers in the market,

 sunset over the market,

a quick call and the balloon seller will be on his way,

by now the stall featuring homes was almost up and running,

nearly there as the grass and plants are installed,

 starting to get dark now,

a quick look to see that everything is in place,

 and the sales start,

in the evening a real treat, not only was it Riza's birthday, but it was the opening if her restaurant, it is situated on Soi Siam County Club Road past the cross roads that traffic lights have been installed on, go over those and the restaurant is on the right hand side,

the bar-b-q was all ready to go,

Mike had very kindly offered to pick Slim Jim and ourselves up,

 all inside spic and span,

some of the tables had been moved outside for the evening,

standing outside the restaurant this is looking towards the Sukhumvit Road, so driving out to the restaurant it is just past the Bali Resort,

and here is birthday girl herself, not even taking time off on her birthday!, I have to admit I have never seen chickens cooked like this in a huge clay pot,

 they looked and were delicious!

 the girls,

then it was time to tuck in, the food so nice, I must remember to go back on the diet tomorrow!

'Cheers!' Happy Birthday to Riza and I am sure we all wish her well and every success in her new business, we chatted the evening away then Mike very kindly dropped us back home, next feet up a couple from Bones and we were off to bed.
