many shops in the UK have closed,
but one shop decided it was an option to move 500 yards down the road, but how to do it quickly and cheaply? ask for volunteers! they started ask people to help with the lift and shift, and when the day of the move dawned the expected number of 100 volunteers had doubled! at 11 a.m.
Sunday, the first of the books began being passed from October Books’s old
storeroom, down a flight of stairs, onto the street, past the fast-food joints
and the drugstores and the coffee shops, and eventually into the vault of a
freshly painted former bank, the co-op’s
members had planned to move 2,000 books in two hours, they moved them all in an
hour, “THAT is
