Keeping To A Sort Of Architect Theme,

as the lockdown seems to be continuing

the book encourages people to recolour well-known buildings including Casa Barragán by Luis Barragán and the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum by Oscar Niemeyer,

 I have downloaded a few,

of the images in the book,

"What do you think if we change the colours of the buildings that surround us?" asked the studio in the book's introduction, "It doesn't matter if you're five or 105, this book was made for defacing. There are no instructions, the only rule is experiment!" so coloring pencils out and many thank to Mexican studio Carmelina & Aaurelio Taller de Arquitectura, if coulouring is not your thing, how about building?

Foster +Partners has created a series of architecture challenges for children, the tasks released by the studio are designed to encourage children to make, play, draw and think about architecture,

So far the studio has challenged children to build a paper skyscraper,

as well as learning how to draw trees and create a photo story, Foster + Partners has encouraged people to share their creations and has been sent creations from all across the world, "The response has been absolutely fantastic and frankly a bit overwhelming!" said Harris, "We've received emails from Canada, Spain, Italy and even as far as Australia and Cambodia sharing creations with us," she continued. "We are glad to be able to brighten someone's day or kindle their creativity in some ways –  stay tuned for many more fun activities!" Foster and Partners is an architecture studio in London that was founded by Norman Foster in 1967 who remains the chairman, the studio has created ten activities, but will add more if the lockdown continues, a little about the company, Foster + Partners works across architecture, engineering and industrial design, although it is particularly known for glass-and-steel buildings. Landmark projects include the 1986 Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank headquarters in Hong Kong, the 2004 Millau Viaduct in France and the 2004 30 St Mary Axe in London, which is better known as the Gherkin, and many thanks to them for bring us this model building set, I might even have a go myself!
