The Fox Was Up Early,

having a scratch,

then,

waiting for his snack of peanuts,

when I next looked out of the window,

one of the youngster had arrived, but it was not good news,

he was limping badly, his front left leg appeared to be severely damaged,

it is not looking good for him I am afraid to say,

after breakfast I was off shopping, again I had the car park to myself, where to park? right in the middle of course!

arriving home one of the orchids was putting on a good show,

time for Sunday lunch,

starting with toast, prosciutto crudo, cheese and gherkins,

for our main course, roast lamb,

'Cheers!',

Diana's with gravy, mine without,

on to desserts,

hot cherry pie, a slice of arctic roll and lashings of cream, delicious, in the afternoon we watched a couple from the sci-fi box,

first, Son of Hercules: The Land of Darkness, AKA Hercules the Invincible, a predictable enough movie, except how long the 'bad' guts raced through the subterranean tunnels, which seemed to go on for miles,

we followed that with Devils of the Desert Against the Son of Hercules, AKA The Slave Merchants, another Italian import, great fun as the heroine is rescued from the evil tyrant and as you might have guessed good triumphs over evil! in the early evening Steve and Kai called round with some more of the fruits of their labors in the garden, we chatted away for a few hours, we said our farewells, after they left it was feet up for one from Have I Got News For You, we rounded off the evening with a Midsomer Murder, then for us we were off to bed.

I checked about how to help an injured fox. In England, you call the RSPCA and they will come catch the animal and nurse it back to health.

Dear Jil, if only that was true, unfortunately not living here you do not realize that the RSPCA has a totally different agenda which is why people over here are cancelling their subscriptions to the organisation, they will pick up the fox and kill it, as they do with over 40% of perfectly healthy cats and dogs, have a look here,

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2254729/RSPCA-destroys-HALF-animals-rescues--thousands-completely-healthy.html

also the organisation has a policy of stopping the keeping of pets by everyone, as was said a few years ago, I have to say allegedly to cover myself, by their chairman in what was supposed to be in a secret meeting! back to the fox, it would be kinder to run it over, but the good news is that Steve has put me in touch with the fox league who do genuinely care for foxes, best regards, Stan and Diana.
