Although It Was Cold,

we decided on a walk in the park, 

and maybe buy a couple of cakes for the evening, so warm clothes on, 

and we were out. passing the snail mail box, 

and the new woodland area, 

despite the cold there were quite a few people walking about, 

in the distance, 

the manor house, 

was having some major work performed on it, 

we had a look at the farmers market stalls, 

but unfortunately the cake stall we normally buy from was not here today, on to plan 'B', 

roof repairs to the manor house, 

all of the benches and tables that were here in the summer now removed, 

plan 'B' blown out of the water, if the cake stall is not here, Diana buys a cake here, but today closed, 

oh dear, someone's day ended early, a kite in a tree, 

we turned around and retraced our steps, 

past the snail mail box and home, 

for a read and a sherry,

our starter for today, 

chicken liver pate with warm bread and a small salad, 

today roast lamb with all of the trimmings, sans gravy for myself, 

'Cheers!',

and a treat for dessert, 

Baileys chocolate eclairs with cream, 

after listening to some music it was feet up for a afternoon with Columbo, in the evening after a small snack we started with the TV series Vikings 2013 - 2020, which we both found excellent, so much so we watched 3 episodes back to back! a definite 'must watch' if you are into that period of history, the only problem being for viewers in the US, where it was cut to ribbons by the censors where violence, nudity, profanity, and time restrains for their broadcast on the History Channel means that a lot was missed, but, and here is the good news, the uncensored versions of the episodes can be found on the U.S. Blu-rays, each episode is presented as an "Original Version" (censored) or "Extended Version" (uncensored), such a shame that in the US so many of the population have to be so cosseted, but there it is, the series was a Irish-Canadian co-production, and was filmed entirely in Ireland, on-location in County Wicklow and at Ashford Studios, the scenery, costumes, script all just right, at the end of the third episode we were off to bed.
