if you are in the market for a new set of tableware,
these could be of interest,
Japanese illustrator Ryo Takemasa has created a series of
symmetrical fruit illustrations in collaboration with Hermes,
there are 15 pieces designed with a fruit theme,
including 12 dessert plates, a tart platter, a cake platter, and a bowl,
the new collection of tableware called Kaorumi, meaning the
fragrance of fruits in Japanese. Working with a compass and ruler, Takemasa
composed perfectly symmetrical shapes,
“Kaorumi is a collection of fruit ready to be tasted,” explains the French fashion house. “Sliced kiwi, peeled oranges, and pomegranate wedges are all laid out on white porcelain, which accentuates their vibrant shapes.”
and with summer just around the corner what better for those lazy, hazy days?
“Their colors are so fresh that the porcelain exudes the aroma and flavor of the fruit or, as it’s known in Japanese, Kaorumi.” You can see the full collection on the Hermes’s site.
