Diana Was At Work During The Day,

and I spent it on the computer,

I had the annual car insurance email arrive, it had risen from £759.18 to £1,092.36, a £333.18 increase, the reason? People in my area were having more accidents, and policies are area based, but we live in a park! In front of us 93 acres of woodland and grass, behind us 2 houses and then a sports club playing field, with 8 tennis courts past them a field that houses a full size football pitch 2 clubhouse as well as a further 8 tennis courts and a squash hall, plus parking for a few hundred cars before you reach the nearest road to us! it is times like this that I remember, the Internet is your friend, I started with the Go Compare website as it has a number of good reviews, prices started at £450, but, and this is what took the time, going to each company and looking at their reviews a picture soon emerged, so many were only scoring 1 or 2 out of 5, so many complaints and so little feed back from companies, even on their own web sites! I found a few companies that did well and eventually decided on Admiral who quoted £732.75, putting in the same details details as my present company, and as a bonus, I was now also covered for a accident with a uninsured driver, but with the bonus of not losing my no claims bonus, also vandalism was included, job done, so I call my present company and cancelled my insurance, and guess what? they said whatever my new insurance was they would match it! I replied if that is the case why were they trying this year to gouge me with an increase of over £300? so a lesson learned, next year look around again for the most reasonable car insurance quote with a reliable company, after Diana returned home it was time for a sherry and a read,

for our starter king prawns on avocado with diced spring onions,

eyes down and tuck in,

for our main course spaghetti for Diana,

chilli-con-carne for myself,

'Cheers!', we listen to music after our meal, and then our film,

A Few Good Men, I must admit I do enjoy watching a court room drama and although we both had watched the film before enjoyed watching it again, after which we were off to bed.

Dear Stanley and Diana
Hats off to a job well done. Loyal car insurance customers seem to be abused by increasing policy prices. Most go along with the scheme until it becomes ridiculous then when challenged, offer a match. Interesting way to reward loyalty. Agree, shop hard and switch often as the CEOs all are after profits at the expense of customers. Greed is an evil thing.
Happening all over America as well.
Buyer beware is now the American consumer moto.

Dear John and Alley, you are so correct, customer loyalty is a thing of the past, forgot by almost all companies in the seeds of time, and yes buyer beware is the phrase over here as well, I think it is just a case of people can not be bothered to look at all of their pervious details so they just click 'Renew', and leave it at that, as I mentioned lesson learnt for next year!, best regards, Stan and Diana.
