to say a number of letters had arrived at the shop for me,
so I popped down to the shop again, in case there was anything important amongst them, out into a grey cold day, no frost, but it was still a tad chilly,
off of the number 54 bus by This 'N' That and over the road to the shop, lots of advertising promotions in my post and a reminder that my car insurance was due and had risen by £300! confirming a email I received a few days ago, I am amazed that with a clean driving record it has risen over 30%, I will shop around for a cheaper quote, but I would guess that it is pretty competitive, on the domestic front a slight tragedy in the kitchen, our kettle that we bought 6 years ago has started to cry, every time that we boil it a few tears appear at the plastic sight gauge,
which means that water drops on to the on/off switch, which could be not so good turning the kettle on and off, so on my way back from the shop,
I called in here, to drop the old kettle off, as electrical bits and pieces should not be put in the normal bin waste and I bought a new one, I also called into Sainsbury's, which is also in the retail park at Bell Green, and picked up a couple of packs of saveloys that both Diana and myself like, on to the number 352 and a walk,
and I was soon on my way home passing the Foxgrove Lodge,
also on the domestic front in the afternoon I spent a huge amount of time on the cooker hob,
there was a slight but stubborn stain around the outside of each ring for the pans, eventually all of it was cleaned off, it felt like it will take a week for my fingers to recover! after which Diana arrived home, and cooked chips to go with our saveloys, delicious! it was then feet up for a Deadliest Catch before a Midsomer Murder, after which Diana was off to bed, for myself a Have I Got News For You, which was the current programme followed by a It Ain't Half Hot Mum before I too was off to bed.
