I Spent Most Of The Day,

trying to complete the last few suppliers final bills to the shop,

electric, telephone, burglar alarm etc., and then time to play, this evening for the first time I am going to Beckenham Photography Society's Nature group meeting,

not knowing what to expect,

I brought along,

a few photographs,

I had taken last year,

and a few from previous years,

not wishing to wastepaper, all of these were A3, I used the backs of old trial prints,

all of these I had played with before,

making minor changes,

but the backs were all unprinted,

so it seemed a ideal way,

to present them,

to the club members,

as it happens both the natural history and other photographs were well received, instead of meeting at the school as we do on Wednesdays we meet here,

at the Bricklayers Arms in Beckenham, I knew where it was, for many years it was Richards, 'Office' during working hours, I had many 'working' meetings there,

if you do not know its location it is on the other side of the zebra crossing opposite the Odeon cinema in Beckenham,

inside it was warm and welcoming, Julia was the first of several members to arrive, everyone else had brought either a lap top or a memory stick to use in the laptop, it was very interesting, one member who's name I have forgotten had returned from a trip to photograph eagles in Finland, he had some stunning photographs of the trip, but also other members brought along images of the latest club trip to one of the bird sanctuary in the broads, one more from a visit to Rainham (Essex) marshes, I leant a lot as members were discussing techniques, especially in low light photography and how in my youth it was 32, 64 or 100 ASA as it was known then that was used, where as today as film is not use for the 1960s unheard of ASA speeds could now be used, a great evening, arriving home I beat Diana by a few minutes, so a coffee and a chat it was as we watched a Have I Got A Bit More News For You, before Diana was off to bed, for myself 2 Bangers & Cash before I too was off to bed.
