so I decided to get up early and watch the sunrise with my new camera in the park,
the sun obscured by cloud, but as the light filtered through the trees I took a few photographs, nothing of interest, but I wanted to familiarize myself with all of the buttons, knobs, dials and joystick, I kid you not! a view over a small pond, hardly any detail, but with the new camera the sensor is so much bigger, the detail is there,
a few tweaks and here is the same photograph,
and the detail is still there when I enlarge the picture, above is the area at the top of the pond, although displayed on the blog it does not look sharp, but when printed every detail is still there, even the bird at the waters edge, that I did not know was there when I took the first photograph!
a little further on a squirrel, a small dot in the original,
illustration courtesy of PhotoSeek.com it is easy to see the advantage of having a larger sensor, the large black oblong, medium format, is the sensor in my new camera compared to the smaller Four Thirds, the larger sensor records so much more detail, the sizes above are comparative,
on a similar theme, what the camera recorded,
and the mansion cropped, still pin sharp detail, amazing, after playing with these Diana arrived home, so feet up for a coffee and a chat as we planned tomorrow, it is Diana's day off and she fancied a trip out to a couple of the local garden centres, so that is tomorrow sorted, in the evening it was feet up for our usual fare of Outback Opal Hunters, Deadliest Catch followed by a Midsomer Murder, after which Diana was off to bed, for myself a couple of Bangers & Cash before I too was off to bed.
