It Was A Sad Start To The Day,

one of the foxes appeared to be asleep in a most unnatural pose,

on the rear communal lawn,

closer inspection confirmed my first thought, he was dead, as I bagged him up I had a close look at him, his teeth were perfect, so no trouble catching food, no signs of blood or other outward trauma, again like his teeth his coat perfect, no mange or bald patches, I could only conclude he had been poisoned, which is a bit of a worry, if someone is leaving poison bait out for dog owners that walk their pets in the park, if a fox vomited the poison up away from the poison site a pet could well ingest the bait,

anyway, bagged up and the council informed, it was picked up in a couple of hours, on to happier things, I had dropped off Diana at work in the late afternoon, so a play with a few photographs,

these from our holiday in Finland

which we both really enjoyed,

as it happen I would not mind going back but to maybe a different area or even another country in the Scandinavian area,

on to my evening read and Sherry,

before a huge chicken curry that Diana had left for me, 'Cheers!',

then feet up for a couple of films, firstly Philadelphia, a great movie and a great soundtrack, based on a true story, Andrew Beckett, a gay lawyer infected with AIDS, is fired from his conservative law firm in fear that they might contract AIDS from him, at the time of its release 1993 it was considered by many to have come at just the right time to make the public aware of what AIDS was and how it affected people in real life,

as it happened in real life the man the story was primarily about, lawyer Geoffrey Bowers, had already died, but in 1984 his family launched a $10 million lawsuit against Hollywood producer Scott Rudin, TriStar Pictures and the creators of the movie "Philadelphia," charging that the film is substantially based on Bowers' story,

the family said they have received no acknowledgement or financial compensation for the information they provided, despite what they said was an oral agreement with Rudin to provide such recognition, "Philadelphia," the first mainstream Hollywood movie about AIDS, it had grossed $36.6 million so far at the time the lawsuit was instigated, I followed that with,

The Picture of Dorian Gray, the book written by Oscar Wilde was next but the 2009 version, a young man sells his soul to keep his youthful looks, he does not age but a painting that he keeps hidden away ages in his stead, as his friends age and he does not they know something is wrong, but will anyone guess what? one thing you may not know about Oscar is that although he was a proficient and versatile writer, Wilde only wrote one novel during his lifetime, 'The Picture of Dorian Gray,' published in 1891, after which just as I started watching Nave I Got A Bit More News For You Diana arrived home, after which as we were both tired we were off to bed.
