but we missed out on this one,
so the freak deal happened because a buy-one-get-one-free promotion meant shoppers could get two oranges for £2.75, a discount of exactly £1.37-and-a-half pence each, a simultaneous three-for-£5 deal equated to a discount of £3.25 for every three oranges that were purchased, then thanks to the double deal, when a customer bought six packs – with a normal full price of £16.50 – they were charged just £1.75, pity that we were not in the UK for Diana, or in June when some outlets had to call in security after customers realised they were able to buy 24 cans of lager for just £4, so that would be me happy then!
