Rain Again!

will the rainy season ever come to an end?

another downpour today, hopefully the last, but then I have been thinking that every day for the past few weeks,

Mark called round for a cup of tea and a chat, we also watched a few DVDs, then we were out for a meal,

 into the Secrets taxi,

where Diana took a couple of pictures of us in the back of the taxi,

 and one of herself,

our destination? Ali BaBa, for an Indian meal,

just like the story, pots of gold and jewels everywhere,

when we arrived, about 6.45 in the evening, the restaurant was almost empty,

just three diners at another table,

after some poppadoms with those delicious small red coloured onions our starters arrived, a prawn puri and chicken chat,

a look through the menu to see what to order next,

decision made, chicken tikka massala and a dish of peas pilau rice, 'Cheers!',

Diana then decided on a dessert, I am not sure what it was called, but it was pronounced delicious!

this week when we received the bill, 1,450 baht, a new business card was included, handy if you are not quiet sure where the restaurant is as it has the address in Thai at the bottom of the card, so next time you have a different driver or baht bus just give him the card,

it also had a map on the reverse, the cards must be working, when we left there was hardly a free table in the place, it was packed,

in the afternoon we watched Fracture, we have watched it before, but for me it is an enjoyable court room drama, Ted Crawford, a structural engineer in Los Angeles, shoots his wife and entraps her lover, He signs a confession; at the arraignment, he asserts his rights to represent himself and asks the court to move immediately to trial, I also love the 'toy' the Ted plays with,

next in true life we watched the third in the Born To Kill series, Dr. Harold Shipman, estimated to have killed 275 people, but the actual figure will never be known, a chilling look at a person everyone should trust,

Unthinkable got off to a slow and slightly disappointing start, as one person said 'do not do that' his superior would then say it was OK, then his superior would come along and say it is not OK, then his superior would say it was OK and so on up the chain of command everyone looking like a fool in front of their subordinates, but then the pace quicken, rapidly, as the race was on to find the location of three atomic bombs hidden in the US, will the interrogators do the Unthinkable? we both enjoyed the DVD immensely even Diana was telling the interrogators what to do next!

after that we relaxed with River Monsters, liking fishing as I do it was more than a little enjoyable, only slight problem being the presenter made a few slips like confuseing a fishes swim bladder for it's labyrinth organ amongst others, but I have to say we are both looking forward to the next DVD in the series,

we started to watch New Tricks, but by now it was very late so we gave up just after it started so we were off to bed.
