was in America National Doughnut Day, so put it in your diary for next year, the holiday is the first Friday of June every year, it was first celebrated as a 'Thank You' to volunteers of the Salvation Army who handed out doughnuts to soldiers fighting in World War I, many national doughnut chains were giving away freebies yesterday, if you live in a larger city, check out the list of freebies at Uproxx and if you like doughnuts remember the date for next year!
