Sunday Has Raced Around Again,

on to our Sunday lunch,

first a read and a sherry, I am nearly at the end of a book about the Reverend J. G. Wood

written by his son, Theodore Wood, titled The Rev. J. G. Wood: His Life And Work, and what, for myself, a great read it really is,

for our starter today, chicken noodle soup,

followed by a 36 day matured British beef T-bone with bone marrow butter, plus wagyu triple fried chips and vegetables,

'Cheers!',

Diana served the steak and vegetables on one plate,

and we shared it from there,

somehow Diana had the smaller piece of steak!

and what is this bubbling away?

it is a chocolate melt in the middle heart, for Valentine's day just around the corner, how romantic, served with strawberries, ice cream and cream, delicious!

another 'Cheers!' for myself as we tucked in, after our meal it was time for some music, before one from the Hammer box of films, for the afternoon,

The Horror of Frankenstein, sharp eyed movie buffs will have noticed Frankenstein's monster was played by David "Darth Vader" Prowse, another fun movie from Hammer, after which in the late afternoon we watched a couple from Columbo, in the evening a couple of Lewis before Diana went to bed, she has a early shift tomorrow,

for myself I watch a couple of The New Statesman, the series starts in 1987, so a number of jokes set about personalities of the times fly thick and fast, it is a sitcom parody of 1980s Conservatism, Tory MP Alan B'Stard holds the largest majority in the House, his interests are money, power, sex, and himself, it stars the late, great Rik Mayall, who gave us so much fun over the years, after which I was off to bed.
