I first mentioned that it was for sale some time ago, well it went for slightly more than expected, the late 18th Century gold locket pendant is thought to contain a lock of Nelson's hair on one side and Lady Hamilton's on its reverse, it went for £44,000, a tad higher than the £5,000 estimated price, it was bought by London jewellers Sandra Cronan on behalf of "an important collector," I hope it is put on public display by it's new owner, not hidden from view forever.
