I Know I Only Featured A Motorcycle Yesterday,

but when I saw this one today I just had to put it in,

it is a 49cc mass produced motorcycle from Italy, and the clue to it's name is in the picture,

by 1952, an incredible 200,000 units had left the factory, but few survive today,

but this one in America has been lovingly restored as a race track tribute bike by Tony Prust of Analog Motorcycles,

from Tony about the build, "The hand shifter was an option on the old machines, so we custom made a new setup with all the linkages. Then we added a taillight and a micro LED headlight from Denali, because, why not.” The leather bag behind the seat post hides a small 12V (total loss) battery to power the lighting, the lever setup was a bit much on the original, so we streamlined it also it has a twist throttle now, a clutch with a tailored lever, a dual-pull brake system that actuates both brakes together, and a decompression kill lever on the left thumb" and as You can see the badge on the petrol tank it is a Cucciolo, which if Your Italians a little rusty means little puppy, I told You the clue to the name was in the first picture! the bike was named that because of the the high-pitched bark of its tiny exhaust,

two little puppies together, would I like one? 100% Yes, the bike that is, not the puppy, and I am sure You will have heard of the manufacturer of this lovely little bike, nowadays more thought of for making 200 horse power monster motorcycles, it is a of course a Ducati, just one of the models that the electronics company that the three Ducati brothers founded back in the 1920s, after making radios and micro cameras the factory geared up in the mid 1940s to start making inroads into the motorcycle market, with the little puppy and went on to become the super bike producer that it s today, You can follow Analog Motorcycles on their Instagram page
