I Had A Quiet Day,

but in the evening I was out,

walking past the church,

to meet Diana when she had finished work in Miso, which is in Beckenham High Street,

so what to choose?

we started with some prawn crackers,

 next a favorite,

 crispy duck with pancakes,

to go with our main course, a couple of side dishes, some chicken dim sum,

 and Chinese mushrooms and asparagus,

 and for our mains,

 Singapore noodles for Diana,

Malaysian chicken curry for myself, the meal with a coke for Diana and a bottle of red for myself came to a tad over £60.00, we were so full we could hardly manage the walk home!, when we arrived home it was feet up for a Jamaican coffee that Diana made,

and our film for the evening Master and Commander, an old favorite that we had watched before, it was one of those films that I just wish they would make a sequel to, the story for the film is taken from a nautical historical novel by the English author Patrick O'Brian, first published in 1969 in the US and 1970 in UK, the book proved to be the start of the 20-novel Aubrey-Maturin series, set largely in the era of the Napoleonic Wars, that O'Brian continued working on up until his death in 2000, so there are plenty of stories in the other 19 books that could be used to continue the explotes of Captain Jack Aubrey, although a few of the books had been combined to make the film, but there it is, I guess it did not appeal to enough viewers to warrant a second film, we next watched a couple of game shows and then for us we were off to bed.
