Yesterday And Today,

I seem to be on a Japanese theme,

bubble gum wrappers, normally a throwaway,

but not in Japan where snack-maker Lotte decided to get playful. For each of their 7 different flavors of gum the firm created a series of graphic wrappers, a total of 58 different designs, each with their own distinct look,

the Lotte Origami Club, as it’s called, was borne out of that characteristically Japanese word mottainai, which embodies the the meanings of the words reduce, reuse recycle and respect,

and these are just a few of the wrappers,

that are available, seems like a great way to get consumers to buy one of each,

You can see all the designs from the Origami Club over on Lotte’s website,

where they also have a few tutorials including how to fold a penguin, a koala and a plum blossom, if you search social media for the hashtag #ロッテおりがみ部 you can also see some impressive user-results, I am afraid my gum chewing days are over, way too many fillings that I am sure the gum will remove!
