It Was Another Early Start For Both Of Us,

as I dropped Diana off at work,

in the morning I had some paperwork to do, at midday Diana called to say she had finished her shift, so we were out,

and this is where we were going,

the seafood stall was closed as we went past, so for us straight in past the waterfall,

and what a delight as we entered,

the first of this years cob nuts, incase you do not know when fresh they are called cob nuts, when collected and used in confectionary they are called hazel nuts, strange but there it is,

lots of other goodies to tempt us with,

on to the flowers in pots,

a nice display of African Violets, (Saintpaulia),

not many orchids today,

but this one looked rather nice,

I wandered back to Diana,

who was still sorting the best of the cob nuts,

then another treat, almond macaroons were in stock,

a walk past the colorful vegetable shelves,

then a display of bottle gardens,

which looked really nice, but I can imagine them, the plants, out growing the container in no time at all,

the cactus garden looked nice too,

and here I have to admit defeat, after a year of our Venus fly traps going from strength to strength,

they all slowly turned brown and died, despite me giving them RO water when ever they needed it, so that was that,

a coupe of succulents took my eye,

I had never seen these brown coloured ones before, not sure that I like them, but they are different,

we carried on looking at the plants on offer,

cactus on one side,

palms on the other,

banana plants always remind us of Thailand, and in 5 weeks time we will be there and looking at more of these,

a few colourful pots,

very colourful as it happens,

cyclamen,

hundreds of them,

a nice display of Chrysanthemums,

and of course Christmas cherries,

everybody's favorite,

pansies,

and the smaller version,

Violas,

more Chrysanthemums,

and some coneflowers, (Echinacea), which seem to be becoming increasingly popular,

we made a move inside to the restaurant, on the way we saw the first of the Christmas displays,

gingerbread houses,

our lunch arrived,

a huge pizza for Diana and a cheese and pickle sandwich for myself, then a treat arrived in the car park next to us, a car that was one of the true super rare cars, that many will not had heard of, let alone seen,

a 1930s Rolls Royce Woodie,

and unlike a run of the mill RR Woodie of which there are very few, this one instead of having wood covering the panels, showed the colour through the wood frame work, Diana took these through the restaurant window, I was hurriedly eating my food so I could pop outside with my camera, but alas before I finished the car had wafted silently into the sunset, what a beauty,

meal finished, Christmas shopping started, crackers as well as some cards,

then time to visit the two Christmas Villages,

luckily a bit brighter than last years display,

this part of it featured real waterfall, I guess you have to top it up every few days,

and of course a Christmas tree,

with a railway as well,

it was all so cute, I cobbled together a video of some of it,

it looked so nice, but even a small village is a tad on the expensive side,

next stop the butchers, this is one of the 2 places we know that sell saveloy sausages, and these are the nicest ones, so 2 packs to go,

we were so tempted with some of the many other cuts of meat,

as we made our way to the car the seafood restaurant was open,

so we shared a pot of whelks, delicious!

into the car and through open roads under a bright sky,

we made our way home where Diana had a sleep, 2 early starts then staying up for the rest of the day and evening was catching up on her, then time for our evening meal, saveloy sausages and curly chips after which the usual Outback Opal Hunters and a Deadliest Catch, before an Endeavor, then Mr. Sleep caught up with Diana so she was off to bed, for myself a couple from Bangers & Cash, before I too was off to bed.
