Diana Had A Busy Day,

she was on a early shift,

after which she left work and meet up with Kai for a girls afternoon out, it was then they found out about the week long tube strike, the unions want more money for the tube drivers and that the 3.4% being offered was not enough, before you decided what is fair, these are the facts as found here:

According to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request, the current fixed salary for a Tube driver is £68,096, as of October 2024.

With overtime and shift allowances – which are common due to unsocial hours – this can reach £70,000-£80,000 annually for many.

Drivers on the Elizabeth Line earn more – up to £75,000 following a deal struck earlier this year.

Pay has increased steadily – from about £59,000 in 2022 after an 8.4% rise, to another 4.5% rise to £67,500 by 2024.

taking all of that into account they are now demanding a reduction to a 32-hour workweek without loss of pay, as well as a improvement on the 3.4% offered, along with improved working conditions, and better protections against health risks and what they describe as “fatigue management” – the stress that early and late shifts are having on its members,

they should try working the early morning and late evening shifts that Diana has to work! so for Kai and Diana it was walking everywhere, after a train to London Bridge a walk along the Thames,

stopping for a few photographs on the way,

with Tower Bridge as a backdrop,

it was a glorious day,

then over the bridge,

and a walk to the Tower of London, and on to Bond Street,

to the Patara Thai restaurant, which has a number of restaurants in London, this one in Bond street,

the girls ordered a selection of noodle dishes,

14 of them!

lots to share,

and a bubble tea as well I think it is, as you might expect the girls were so full, but it did not stop them from having a late afternoon window shopping fest! for myself I played with a few more photographs from the 'Stained Glass' folder,

these are,

just a couple of them, after my evening meal Diana arrived home so it was feet up for,

The Haunting, a bit scary dairy in places, so Diana enjoyed it! after which as she had a early start and was tired Diana was off to bed, for myself a Bangers & Cash and the first episode of a 3 part report on Thailand titled Thailand: The Dark Side of Paradise, which was showing on BBC 3, I guess it was a eye opener if you have not lived there or spent more time there than a 2 week tourist, but nothing new for ex-pats except perhaps for the numbers of UK young people that go there, I followed that with this weeks Have I Got News For You before I too was off to bed.
