the weeks fly past,
we started with Sunday lunch, but first a read and a sherry,
some Indian tit-bits for a starter,
eyes down and tuck in,
for our main course roast fillet of pork,
sans gravy for myself, 'Cheers!',
onto dessert, sticky toffee pudding and cream,
delicious! we watched a couple of Columbo's, then a film from way back in 1958,
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, a great movie from the time with powerful performances from all concern, my favorite of course, "Big Daddy" Pollitt (Burl Ives), I just love his attitude with the 5 'monkeys' as he calls them, after a snack in the evening a out and out comedy,
National Lampoon's Vacation, great fun, Clark Griswold, the typical American businessman decides to drive across America to Walley World, a theme park with rides etc, anything and everything that can go wrong does, and as a bonus a great soundtrack by Lindsey Adams Buckingham,
Lindsey is best known as a member of Fleetwood Mac, although he parted from the group some time ago, next unexpectedly a Midsomer Murder started on one of the channels, we rounded off the evening with a It Ain't Half Hot Mum before we were off to bed.
