Straight On To Today's Post,

as first thing we are off to Immigration for our 90 day check-in,

but first a stop at the bank which is opposite the Pattaya Beer Garden to pay my MasterCard bill,

a couple of early risers in the bar opposite,

on the way back I called in at a market for some charcoal,

this is a different market to the one we normally go to, it is permanent and totally covered,

then after picking up Diana off to Tesco Lotus for some shopping,

the kittens had been out all afternoon, Mariana even managed to sneak into the kitchen where she camouflaged herself in a tray of sodas,

and although we missed it a very wet Cable walked into the living room, we had not heard him but he had been paddling again, after our evening meal we heard from him again,

I am guessing the kitten equivalent of  'Help!', I am sure he could have gotten down again, but we gave him a helping hand,

it was then time for a photo call, from the left Cable, Hogue and lastly Mariana,

who then got comfortable on her favourite speaker, we put them in their room and settled down to watch some television,

for this evening The Rivals Of Sherlock Holmes, we had watched it all before but so long ago it was enjoyable to watch again, during a break between episodes we heard water moving, turning on the lights in the kittens room Cable was having another paddle, unfortunately by the time I had retrieved my camera from its bag he was out and drying himself, so two paddles in one day, he must really like the water, but so far no interest from Hogue or Mariana,

we rounded off the evening with another couple from 3rd Rock From The Sun, then for us we were off to bed.

We Were Off For Sunday Lunch,

but before we went out,

I took a short video of the kittens at play, as you might expect the kittens play like demons, until I get the camera out when they then decided to go on a go-slow or take a rest, but there it is,

leaving for lunch we noticed one of the cactus had flowered,

and a strange looking flower it was too,

a quick pose in the sunlight,

and we were on our way to the Punch and Judy, this week for a change of venue,

the pub is located on Soi 8 off Thepprasit road almost opposite the Eden Hotel,

Diana and myself shared a chicken pate starter which Mr. Tony also chose, Slim Jim decided to wait for the main course,

 'Cheers!',

then on to main courses, an English breakfast for Slim Jim,

ribs,

and lots of then for Diana,

for Mr. Tony a cheese topped cottage pie,

 and for myself,

the lamb Sunday roast,

our happy band, after the meal we said our farewells,

later in the evening whilst watching the latest Victoria,

we decided on a late night snack, when we heard a splash, one of the kittens had fallen into the pool, we thought, but the splashing continued,

again Cable had decided to torment one of the ducks,

 and was playing with it,

and the reflections in the tiles,

all of this left Mariana and Hogue totally underwhelmed,

Hogue preferring to play with one of the ball toys,

 or just watch,

 Cable as he enjoyed himself,

it will be interesting to see if he takes a dip again,

also if Hogue or Mariana will join him,

but for tonight Mariana was on the high tower just watching,

for ourselves we watched a few more from 3rd Rock From The Sun, then for us we were off to bed.

We Watch A Lot Of Period Dramas,

all centred around the 1920s and 30s,

the style and art of the period is called Art Deco, and I chanced upon these Underground posters that sum up it's style perfectly, the strange thing at the time was that people had to be encouraged to use the service,

so in winter this poster was produced,

and in the summertime it's opposite twin,

and of course for the rest of the year,

more specific posters were produced, to look at some 29 different poster from the period have a look here.

If You Live In California,

and you suffer from a fear of spiders, or arachnophobia as it is known,

this might be a good time to stop reading,

using a spider hunting tip UsefulWidget the householder was shocked to see how many spiders the grass in his backyard held, here is how the spider detecting light works, cats eyes as we all know reflect light that is shone at them, the same applies to spiders eyes but in a narrower band, just shining a torch at the grass will not make their eyes reflect, but hold the torch as close to your nose as you can and see the difference,

some people did not believe the first video, so he made this second one, all I can say is thank goodness there is not a drought and the grass disappears, think of all of those spiders looking for a new home, your house!

This Is Similar,

to weaving with paper,

at least that is how artist Gunjan Aylawadi describes her work,

Aylawadi’s technique relies on long curled strips that are woven and glued in place in a process a bit more like working with textiles rather than with paper,

her works can also be in 3D, rather than just glued to a flat piece of paper,

I have heard of quilling, where paper is rolled into small components and viewed sideways,

but I do not know what word to use to describe the use of these paper spirals, the work is slow as each piece is outlined carefully on paper beforehand, although self-taught in art, she also hold degrees in engineering and product design, Aylawadi’s paper works have been published in magazines around the world and she’s also shown in a number of group and solo shows in Sydney where she’s based, Her work was also included in CODA Paper Art 2015, You can see more on Facebook and by following her on Instagram, all I need to do now is find out what is the proper name for this form of paper artwork.
