I Normally Do Not Feature Race Motorbikes,

just the ones that You can ride on the roads,

 but this one by Tyler Malinky of Lowbrow caught My eye, the motorcycle is called Poison Ivy and this is it's history and record breaking run as told by Tyler, 'I had started to mock up this 1955 Triumph T110 as a street bike, a chopper, but then changed direction with the aim to race at the Bonneville Salt Flats at Speed Week in August of 2010. Poison Ivy was entered in the A-VG 750cc class. The A stands for Special Construction, which means a purpose built race bike, not a modified stock bike. The V stands for Vintage, which at Bonneville means 1955 and earlier. The G stands for gas, as I would be running gasoline as opposed to methanol, nitro, or any other fuel. The 750cc was my class displacement due to the fact that I had a bored out 650 c.c. Triumph, just 0.070” over stock bore which pushed me to 681 c.c., a disadvantage in the 750 class,

 Bonneville Speed Week takes place in mid-August and is an SCTA (Southern California Timing Association) event, and 2017 marks the 69th anniversary of the event. Our race crew is made up of friends and family from all over the country, as well as Canada and Australia. Another important part of the Lowbrow Land Speed Racing team are Alp Sungurtekin and Jalika Gaskin of Los Angeles, California. Alp is the builder, tuner and rider of the fastest pushrod 650cc motorcycle of all time, at 175.625mph on nitromethane, with his Crew Chief Jalika assisting his efforts. They made the trip out from LA with the T200 in tow, which is a partially streamlined 1950 Triumph 650cc motorcycle that Alp built in an attempt to exceed 200 mph on a vintage motorcycle, running on nitromethane',

 Tyler and Poison Ivy, 

 and this is it, I revved the bike to the sky and as I watched my small GPS I saw the speeds tick steadily over 120mph, up to 125 and stay there for almost two miles straight. This is where the howling like a wolf and overwhelming happiness come in. The lows that accompany frustration with under-performing machines was instantly replaced with joy and excitement; I had qualified for the record at 124.207mph, I was on my way. Only a slight .673 mph over the existing record! My back up run was almost a duplicate of the first, with an average of 124.980 mph, and a top speed at the 2-1/4 mark of 125.1888. The two way average of 124.593 mph, just a hair over 1 mph faster than the record. a big well done to Tyler for His record and sharing His triumph with us,

And Now For Something Completely Different,

a music video,

 by Icelandic singer, Björk, who worked with long-time collaborators Andrew Thomas Huang and James Merry to create her vision of utopia,

 in it, two lovers pass a prism between their chests that represents love, which Björk says is not just "in the quotidian romantic sense but in a broader cosmological way, it's when the chest changes from a wound to a gate, where you can send and receive love from, I was talking about prisms and how when one suffers trauma, one splits into different coloured parts and the only way to unite them is with love."

 and continues, "Out of all the songs I've done, there hasn't been more connection between the sound and the visual and the lyric," the movie was filmed as one continuous shot, directors Huang and Merry brought on board animation studio Wolf and Crow, which modelled and created an avatar rig that was worn by dancer Leo Morimune, who plays the dancing figures in the video, 

for her outfit, Bjork wore a Gucci dress designed by the brand's creative director Alessandro Michele, which she described as "a stubborn light beam of hope" in the middle of "a lot of darkness"

I Had A Letter From A Bank I No Longer Use,

asking Me to call in,

I receive one every two years or so, off I went, on the way stopping off to buy some limes,

 I called into the market opposite Wat Chai,

 on Pattaya Tai,

 and there in the bottom right they were, I called into the bank and explain that I had closed the account some years before, after tapping a few things into the computer the assistant said, 'I cancel for You before', I replied I know but the bank still writes to Me every two years, 'I cancel again' to which I replied thank you and see you again in two years, which she thought was funny, well at least She smiled,

 in the late afternoon off to the weekend night market in Thepprasit Road, 

 looking inland some cloud,

I made my way past one of the toy stalls,

 and into the office of 3BB to pay our Internet bill,

 looking inland cloudy skies again,

 this stall,

 is so bright with different coloured key rings,

 and mini handbags,

 opposite the bar this evening a stall was being set up to promote an orange drink, with a pop band, just look at the size of those speakers, 

 and this week for auction a convertible Volvo,

 a quick look along one of the covered areas,

 the fruit stall getting ready for the evenings trade,

 and if I were a kid this stall would be at the top of My list,

 selling lollipops!

 the pet section looked quiet,

 with just a couple of customers,

 one bag of dry and three boxes of wet food this week,

 the last stall in the line, 

 the aquatic one,

 sunset over the market,

 I decided to have a look at some of the food stalls inside,

 and this one is where Diana will be stopping off at later,

 the sushi stall, 

back at the bar looking inland some cloud,

 by now some of the ladies,

 had arrived to hand out samples of the drink, 

 the company had a large camera crew,

 this photographer taking pictures of people at the bar,

 and me! 

 back to work,

 then a nice surprise, Brian was already here, when his wife Sai along with son Nicky and friend, 

 called by, 

 as the evening became dark, the noise started, it was so loud we paid our bill and left as did the few other customers at the bar, 

 but before doing so I just had to take a picture of this gentleman's hat, although difficult to see there are a pair of drop down sunglasses on the peak of it, 

arriving home it was sushi time, delicious, 

after our meal it was time for Rome, which as the last episodes that we watched was stunningly good, in fact it was so good that series 3 and 4 were both cancelled due to the costs to make them as good as they were was so expensive, which was a shame, and with that we were off to bed.

  they are the work of Zoe Keller who creates detailed illustrations from the natural world,

often the Portland-based artist’s subjects are related in a way that might not be known to the casual viewer, this can range from a drawing of plants that are endangered in Oregon to a work concentrated on flowers that can only be found in a particular part of the US, 

this strategy allows a deeper research to go into her practise so that the final image is not just about aesthetics, but relates to a more immediate concern for the natural world,

 and these I find really fascinating, time-lapse pictures, showing how she completes Her work,
