Diana Had Monday Off,

so glad rags on,

and we were out,

making our way to Bromley,

past the snail mail post box under slightly cloudy blue skies, we made our way to Beckenham Junction station, for 2 reasons, firstly to catch a train to Bromley South, secondly to buy next months tickets to visit Duncan,

but as we might have expected the ticket office was closed, why oh why do I ever rely on public transport? the problem being machines at the station does not accept my Senior travel for one card, I can only buy tickets at a ticket office, still all was not lost we were traveling to a main line station, so I would buy them at Bromley South,

we took advantage of the newly completed foot bridge,

a quick pose and we were on our way to Bromley South, where, you guessed it!

the ticket office was also closed!, the rail companies just last month announced that travelling without a valid ticket the fine had risen from £40 to £100, so what a neat trick, making sure you have to buy a full fare ticket or be fined! the greenie tree huggers and the stop oil scum say do not take the car, and this is what they offer as an alternative, shameful,

we walked away from the station,

towards the cinema at Bromley South,

which neither of us had visited before, the Vue,

it is in a underground complex,

looking down,

and Diana looking up,

we decide that is our favourite cinema,

no not because of the bar! it is not allowed to sell alcohol until 30 minutes before the film starts,

nor because of the sweets on offer,

but because of these,

the most comfortable seats we have had in a cinema since we left Thailand, we both liked the feature that with the touch of a button made them into Lazy Boy chairs, also a really nice movable tray to hold all of the food, snacks and drinks for the film,

and this is what we had come to see, Asteroid City, I would normally mention if we thought it was good or bad, but as the film has just been released I will not mention how we viewed the film,

leaving the cinema we had already decided to eat in Bromley,

so we made our way along the pedestrianised High Street,

passing these mini gardens,

I looked for some sign as to what they were for,

or indeed who made them, but nothing was in sight,

past the theatre,

Diana into a clothes store, myself into Lidl, we were getting low on spiced rum, and a few other things,

shopping finished into Market Square to wait for Diana,

as she shopped in Primark,

after meeting up it was time for a visit to the Bromley outlet of Miso

'Cheers!',

to start prawn crackers,

followed by crispy duck pancakes, delicious!

for Diana's main course, Singapore noodles, fried vermicelli, shredded chicken, pork, shrimps, egg, sesame seeds and spices,

and for myself, Cantonese roast duck on Chinese leaves and duck sauce served with egg fried rice,

another 'Cheers!', the bill came to £67.70,

walking back to the bus stop we noticed this wet fish shop, we liked the sign,

Sunday, Gone Fishing!

off of the bus from Bromley and a short cut through the clubs grounds,

cricket lessons being taught,

and a few youngsters in the nets,

a quick pose as we crossed the side of the green,

a last look at practise,

as we made our way past the snail mail box and home,

we watched a Endeavour, then for myself something I had to do, drop off a sample to the National Health Service for a bi-annual cancer check, so back to the post box and tomorrow it will be on its way, results in 2 weeks, I have to say since being back from Thailand the NHS has really looked after us, as both of us have been included on various health checks, returning home we had time to watch one Midsomer Murder from ITVX before we were off to bed.
