Here Is A Short Look At A Foundry,

located in Toyama Prefecture, Japan, that dates back to 1897,

a number of years ago the Futagami company which is a brass foundry with help from designer Oji Masanori, decide to revamped their product lineup,

video
a recent video produced by the D&Department Project shows the process in which Futagami’s brass products appear from the earth of the mould and shows how the company achieves their distinctive ihada finish, which is characterised by a crude, sandy texture,

these are just a few of the companies immaculate hand crafted products, top: frame | left: eclipse | right: crescent, all of these bottle openers and other products are available at their shop, and no I am not on commission, I just thought it was a neat video showing how in these mass produced times that is still a place for hand crafted workmanship.
