I Forgot To Mention,

that yesterday one of my crowns dropped out,

again, so off to Doctor Chanis,

whose surgery is opposite Friendship supermarket, 300 baht later and I was on my way to meet Diana and make our way home,

we spent the day and evening watching movies, and a huge thunderstorm that rolled in from the sea, hopefully it will clear up tomorrow as we had planned to go to the beach, anyway first film in the afternoon, The China Syndrome, a very serious Jack Lemmon saves America from a realistic nuclear meltdown, and in a strange case of life imitating a film just 12 days after its release the 3 Mile Island incident occurred with as it happens a faulty valve, a stuck pressure gauge, a lack of water in the pressure vessel gauge, (it was thought it was not needed), and other failings included human ones, made the real life event remarkably similar to the film, result? a tightening up of regulations and a groundswell of anti nuclear feelings,

after our evening meal on a happier note we saw him again in The Odd Couple, so many wonderful lines, and the film was such a success it went on to make a run of 114 television episodes,

then a favorite Excalibur, plot, music, actors, costumes and pace, this film has it all, a joy to watch again, and also try to identify actors, as it was made in 1981, and many have not aged well!

we rounded off the evening with Onibaba, we have mentioned the film before a few times on our blog, and this is what I wrote in one of the posts, 'Onibaba (鬼婆, lit. Demon Hag), it is a 1964 Japanese historical drama horror film written and directed by Kaneto Shindo, the film is set during a civil war in the fourteenth century, Nobuko Otowa and Jitsuko Yoshimura play two women who kill soldiers to steal their possessions, and one, the mother, appears to conjure up a demon, a slightly scary what some would call a 'Art' film and with that we were off to bed.
