First Thing,

as I was writing the blog,

one of the crows called by for some peanuts on the window sill, unlike the Jay,

I can slowly move to reach for the camera and take a photograph, but with the Jay just the slightest, even slow movement from me, and he is off,

back to the bank, making sure I arrived before 12.00 noon as that is the time they now close, so a walk for me through a part of the park,

whilst in the bank, there was some drama outside, as I watched first one then two police cars parked up next to the war memorial roundabout and flower bed, I asked one of the banks assistants what had happened as another police car came speeding down the High Street blue lights flashing and srien screaming, a major crime had taken place, someone had been found sleeping in the sun on the grass beside the war memorial, well I can sleep well tonight, without the thoughts of any miscreants breaking the rule, to use public spaces for anything other than exercise during the lockdown, but to be realistic, 3 police cars with a minimum of two officers in each for one person sleeping in the sun?

I mentioned that the Jay was camera shy, but here he is taking a rest on one of the trees at the side of the house,

 afternoon coffee and birthday cake,

in the evening I was out,

at just before 8.00 in the evening,

further along the road neighbours were out as well,

 as well as others nearby,

in the house where we live, giving a show of appreciation for NHS and care workers, clapping over, back inside for tonight's film,

Diana choose The Man With The Iron Heart, based on the true story of Operation Anthropoid, it tells the story of the Czech-British operation to assassinate the top Nazi leader Reinhard Heydrich, the chief of Reich Main Security Office, the "Protector of Bohemia and Moravia" and the chief planner of the Final Solution, the Nazi term for the genocide of the Jews, well paced and fascinating to watch, the sets perfectly representing the feel of the times, cruel in places, but then those times were for so many,

next a James Bond, Live And Let Die, one of the many Bond movies that has absolutely everything,

we rounded of the evening with Fargo, the film, not the series, this is what I wrote the last time we watched it,

'although the titles say it is based on a true movie it is not, but two similar events depicted in the movie did take place, an urban legend even says that people have gone to search Minnesota for the briefcase of money, but what did happen was that the plot has elements of two well-known Minnesota crimes,

in 1962, a St. Paul attorney named Eugene Thompson hired someone to kill his wife, Carol, the sloppiness and brutality of the crime attracted great attention, then in 1972, Virginia Piper, the wife of a wealthy Orono banker, was kidnapped, a million-dollar ransom was paid, one of the largest in U.S. history, Mrs. Piper was found tied to a tree in a state park, two men were convicted of the crime, but were acquitted after a re-trial, only $4,000 of the money was ever recovered, so that, supposedly is why people are still looking for the other $996,000!'

by now it was very late,or I should say early morning, so we were off to bed.
