As More And More Institutions,

open their virtual doors,


the choice of what to look at can become overwhelming, so here is not an institution but a page on Twitter, that with a name like #CreepiestObject hashtag on Twitter, should give you an idea of what you are likely to see, above, top left via GR Public Museum, bottom left via Yorkshire Museum, right via Bell Museum, all of the exhibits are old, 

but perhaps the Victorians have the largest love of weird/creepy the above at York Castle Museum, showing a diorama of hand-made models of figures of gold miners hauling gold nuggets to the surface, 


and playing cards, but the figures are made from crab’s legs and claws, those Victorians, talk about weird!
