Most People Using London's Underground,

do not enjoy the experience, its use is just to get from A to B,

photographs Basement Galley Supper Club, but here is a tube experience that many will like,

dining on the tube! the restaurant is in a tube carriage made in 1967 it is ‘DM’ unit. ‘DM’ for driving motor, the carriage was built by Metro-Cammell and went into service in 1968, the restaurant can be found in a tiny disused cafĂ© on a former Victorian waste pumping station where Cordon Bleu trained chef Alex Cooper produces his gourmet six-course meals and sends them out to the old underground carriage decked out in white table cloths and fine silverware, surrounded by other disused relics of London transport on the lot, an unlikely Underground Supper Club was born, the latest menu can be viewed here

if this sounds like a grand night out for the Basement Gallery’s Supper Club is in Walthamstow Pumphouse Museum, South Access Road, London E17; Thursday-Saturday dinners 7pm-9.30pm; £67 per person, prepaid reservations only for parties of 2 to 12, looking at the menu it does look rather appetising, and certainly some where different to eat!
