Our Sunday Started As Usual,

a walk in the park,

we wrapped up, but it was unseasonably warm,

on the way a local cat was looking for attention,

it was well looked after and I guess it was a tracking collar it was wearing around its neck,

past the snail mail box,

we were not sure if there would be runners in the park today, but apparently it was yesterday the race was on,

although it does not look it, there were quite a number of people in the park,

evidence of yesterdays race still here,

the weather must have brought out the crowds,

at the farmers market the flower truck was not here,

so we had a look around,

at the end of the green a row of food stalls,

the mansion house itself,

normally there are lots of fold up chairs and table here, but not today,

all of the tables and benches occupied,

as was the one the last time we came here,

but we managed to snag a bench in the sun,

I had brought a few beers with me,

unfortunately for Diana the queue for a hot drink was so long, that she bought a cold drink instead,

we made our way back,

through the formal part of the garden,

up the hill and past the food stalls at the edge of the green,

then down the hill,

to the gates which stop cars from entering the park,

back past the snail mail box and then home,

where it was time for a sherry and a read, I am still reading this bi-weekly copy of Private Eye, the editor, Ian Hislop, is one of the permanent team leaders in our favourite satirical TV shows, Have I Got News For You

for our starter,

a hot roll and butter with cockles and mussels,

followed by roast pork, with gravy for Diana,

sans gravy for myself,

'Cheers!',

we took a break before our sherry trifle dessert, Diana then started on the paperwork for her application for citizenship in the UK, yes more reams of paper and expense! after which we watched a couple of Columbo's back to back, one we had not watched before the second from such a long time ago, which we followed with a Outback Opal Hunters and a Have I Got News For You, as Diana had another early start tomorrow we were off to bed.
