It Was Diana's Day Off,

and as I had to do some shopping in Bromley,

we accompanied each other on our way out,

a bit cloudy but warm,

at the Foxgrove Road entrance to the park we separated, Diana was off to Kent House station to meet Kai, it was a girls day out in London,

and this is where they met, the Corinthia, for afternoon tea,

I have never been there myself,

but it certainly looks nice,

Diana,

and Kai,

take a pose,

in the main foyer,

all set, then it is time to begin, I will not caption every photograph as I am running short of time for my bus and trains to visit Duncan today,

but as you may guess the girls enjoyed every moment of the afternoon tea,

complimentary cakes to go,

all set, time to go, the afternoon tea came to £175.00 which included a unheard of 15% service charge, plus 20% VAT on the total, but Diana assures me it was worth every penny for the experience,

then across a few streets,

to Trafalgar Square,

and the National Gallery,

to Leicester Square and you guessed it, Jollibee,

to pick up a takeaway, after which the girls made their way home,

back to myself, I made my way past the park,

to the 227 bus stop,

opposite Beckenham's Town or Public Hall,

I was soon in Bromley,

to a fairly quiet High Street,

it was not market day,

so very few stalls,

this is where I was headed, Lakeland to exchange our CO2 cylinder, I would normally have dropped off our spent Nespresso coffee pods, but the stall in the Glades has now closed for good, so into the bin with them in future, the nearest Nessprsso drop off point to us I have found our after telephoning Nessprsso, is in Canary Wharf, which is over 11 miles away, I am all for doing the green thing, but making a return journey of 22 miles would create more pollution than the pods would save!

back to the bus stop, the flowers on the lamp posts in Bromley looking nice,

I just hope I beat the rain clouds behind them home!

opposite the bus stop the 201, which as the legend suggests,

was once the Gatsby,

off of the bus in Beckenham and into Lidl,

the flowers there looking nice,

especially the roses,

I had beaten the rain clouds home, as it happens it did not rain,

I try to stay out of the kitchen, for myself it is a death trap, yesterday Diana showed me how to heat up some sausage rolls to snack on whilst she was at work, I carefully wrapped my fingers in a kitchen cloth, and missed a bit, why does such a small burn hurt so much? note to self, again, keep out of the kitchen!

speaking of hurt, the wasp sting I received last Sunday at the airshow is at last going down,

Diana arrived home in the late afternoon, in the evening Diana snacked on her Jollibee as we watched a Midsomer Murder and a New Tricks, after which we were off to bed.

Dear Stanley and Diana
Let’s hope the walking wounded survive! Agree you should stay out of the kitchen out of the kitchen! Wow!

Dear John and Alley, I have lost count of the number of times the kitchen has conspired to harm me, I should also mention not once, but twice when I decided to cook boiled eggs, I nearly burnt the house down in Thailand, I kid you not! both times the saucepan was totally melted, and it took weeks for the smell of eggs to leave the house, best regards, Stan and Diana.
